Second TEATIME Advanced Training School on the use of homecage technologies to monitor rodents

The Second TEATIME Advanced Training School will be held at BfR (The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment) in Berlin, Germany from 4th to 7th June 2024.

The target group of this training school are Masters, PhD and post-doctoral students, with at least 2 years hands-on experience in rodent behavioural research.  

The school will provide demonstration on the use of different home-cage monitoring systems, including: experimental design, psychiatric and cognitive assessment and application to welfare and the 3Rs. Participants will design and build a prototype device for being used in homecage monitoring using 3D printing and microelectronics in a hands-on workshop and participate in interactive sessions on data analysis. Applicants will be expected to have sufficient experience within rodent behavioural research and data analysis to be able to contribute to discussions. All members will be asked to give a short presentation of their work relevant to the delegates on Day 1 of the course.
